October in Italy is warm and mild. To our mind, there’s no better moment to get away from it all and join Ann to cook in Tuscany’s beautiful Val D’Orcia. Ann has organized an intimate culinary trip for 6-8 food lovers to experience this Fall treat with her.

Ann is a James Beard-nominated cookbook author with a deep love for her Italian heritage. She and her guests will be cooking and eating, delicious seasonal locally sourced treats like mushrooms, chestnuts, truffles,  organic local cheeses and salumi, grassy, green olive oils plus, of course, local pastas. And if that weren’t enough, the region is the home of Brunello, arguably one of Italy’s most delicious red wines.

Ann is being joined by Australian travel concierge extraordinaire John Bird, himself a Cordon Bleu-trained chef. To make your experience perfect, Ann and John are planning all manner of local treats and trips, and cannot wait to explore this wonderful part of Tuscany with you!

Included in this 7-night cooking retreat are 4 cooking classes with Ann, food, wine, lodging at the villa, and all outside meals and excursions scheduled in the final itinerary. Basically, after you arrive unless you want to shop, you can put your pocketbook away.

Cost: 

Double occupancy: $4,250.00 per person. 

Single occupancy supplement: +$500.00 per person.

Included in the 7-night cooking retreat are 4 cooking classes with Ann, food, wine, lodging at the villa, and all outside meals and excursions scheduled in the final itinerary.

We can easily accommodate guests who follow flexitarian or vegetarian diets. Please advise us at booking.

This price does not include airfare or transport to and from the airport to the villa. You are responsible for these. Should you require it, our concierge John can send you information or assist you in your travel to the villa from various area airports. 

 

Deposit:

A deposit of $1,500.00 per guest per booking is required to secure your reservation, with the balance payable in full 60 days before your arrival date.

Cancellation policy:

If you cancel 90 days prior to the arrival date we will send you back half of your deposit. 

If you cancel less than 90 days prior to the arrival date you will, unfortunately, forfeit your entire deposit. 

Cancellation less than 60 days prior to the arrival date 100% of the total amount paid is forfeit.

Note:For those booking the October 8-15 2022 trip, because of the short timing, the deposit forfeiture deadline is 70 days prior to arrival.

We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover you in the event that illness etc prevents you from attending your Italian cooking retreat with Ann and thus lose your deposit and other travel costs. 

Waiver:

Participants need to sign a legal waiver freeing Ann and her staff from any legal liability on arrival. This form must be signed upon arrival – if you would like to review this upfront please let us know.
